POP Nashville, in conjunction with our title sponsor OMNI NASHVILLE invites multi award winning Chefs Angus Brown and Nhan Le of Lusca and Octopus Bar to host 2015’s third CITY MEETS NASHVILLE on Wednesday, May 20th, 2015.

Chefs Brown and Nhan have defined Asian cuisine in Atlanta with Octopus Bar and Lusca. Born in Atlanta, Chef Brown is trained in French, Italian, and Asian cooking, which he extensively researched during months traveling and cooking in Japan and Vietnam. Chef Nhan, a Vietnam native, learned Vietnamese cooking from his mother who has always treasured good food. After meeting in Atlanta and collaborating on a supper series, Angus and Nhan opened Octopus Bar in 2011, which has become a celebrated spot among many of the city’s chefs. They continued on together to open their second concept, Lusca, in May 2014. An avid fisherman, Nhan seeks out the best available seafood from around the world for Lusca’s raw bar. The restaurant was a semifinalist for the James Beard Foundation's Best New Restaurant category in 2015. It was named to GQ's list of America's 25 Outstanding Restaurants in 2015 and to bon appetit's list of America's 50 Best New Restaurants in 2014. Angus was nominated for Food & Wine's People's Best New Chef this year.

Also in Atlanta, Nhan has opened Wasabi (a sushi restaurant in Atlanta’s historic Castleberry Hill) and So Ba (a Vietnamese restaurant adjacent to Octopus Bar).
